Recent Happenings:)

Here are some more pictures from recent events:) The first is from Ali's birthday dinner outing, with Brin and Addie sitting on us as we wait for everyone to arrive. And the second one is of my our secret lives as ninjas in the basement of our dorms:) Just some fun stuff I thought would be worthy of sharing with all of you!:)

Well things here have been going well. Lots of work, but it's been a good start to the new semester. Melinda and I went down to St. George this weekend and surprised the Mom, Dad, Kate, Cam, Brin, Cade, and Adelle. It was lots of fun, but we forgot to take pictures while we were there, so that was a bummer. But we had a great time celebrating Katie's birthday and just hanging out and having fun with the fam:) Thanks for the great weekend guys!

Tonight I'm going over to A&P's house and be with them as they watch Jami's kids. So it'll be good to relax and not do any homework:) Wednesday Melinda and I are going to the BYU basketball game with the tickets from the Kendricks! They said the tickets they gave us are sitting right next to/near the General Young Women Pres. and A General Authority. So we'll just have to see if that is true:) We'll for sure take lots of pictures there. Thanks again Kendricks for those tickets! And Saturday our ward is taking us to Soldier Hollow to go tubing. I'm excited to go, never been tubing before so this'll be a first. So I'll break out the serious snow pants and heavy duty gear then. I hope it'll be fun:)

Today is KATIE'S 14th birthday:) She is now officially a Miamaid, gotta love it. Man time has been flying by this year! So much happening faster than I can keep up. Anyways, Hope you are having a great day Kate and know that I love ya lots!

The pics below are from a bunch of different activities:

This one is the whole Family at Thanksgiving with our crowns on:)

These are form our Ward trip to Temple Square back in December. Some are from the Square and the rest are form the bus ride up...we were feeling a bit energetic and Ann was in a serious picture taking mood, so there are some crazy ones:)

One down

One semester down! Finals went well, Christmas was wonderful, and now I'm back for another semester up here in Provo. School started last Monday and has been going really well so far. Lots of work to keep up with, but it's all worth it in the end. I'm taking 6 classes (15 credits): Exercise Science 169(for El Ed Majors), Parenting 240, Stats 221, Physical Science (for El ed majors), Book of Mormon 2, and Marriage and Family. So hopefully it won't be too bad and I'll be able to keep up with the workload. The roommates are great and we are all really great friends and mesh well together.
I'll try and post a few pictures but my camera hasn't been working too great lately so I don't have too many. Alright for some reason I am having troubles downloading and posting pictures from Christmas so here are some fun pictures from last semester's many adventures. The first and two pics are from the movie night Kim, Ann, and I had before Thanksgiving break when everyone was already gone:) We had root beer floats, homemade pizza and a Mission impossible marathon...good times:) The last is from the BYU basketball game:)

Alright, well that's the update for now. As soon as I get my camera to download I'll post some pics from the holidays. Thanks to everyone for the fun break, love you all so much!

Monday Dec 7

Well this weekend has been very enjoyable. It's just been nice to relax and rest a little bit for the chaos and craziness of finals arrive this coming weekend. Finals start on Monday but the studying will be at full blast by thursday and friday. If all goes well according to my plan, I'm hopping to take my last final next Thursday the 17th and come home that evening (If the weather is good). I really just want to get them all over with so this semester can end already. Just TWO more weeks and then Christmas break:)!
Yesterday we woke up to a winter wonderland of snow. There was probably 4 inches of snow on the ground. I haven't been around the cold very much in the past few years and I've forgotten what it's like to live with snow, needless to say I have been FREEZING my little bum off. So cold. But I guess i'll just have to get used to it:) Also, our ward took us to temple square on Saturday to see the lights and watch the Joseph Smith movie. It was a lot of fun and we all had a good time there:)
Well I better run, I have class in a minute and I need to finish some stuff before I go. Talk to you all soon! I'll post some pictures soon!

Monday, November 16, 2009

Okay everyone so I had to Start a new blog because my other one wasn't working correctly and wouldn't let me post any pictures... so this is the new one:)

Here are some recent pictures:The first snow if the season:) It has been soo cold up here lately! Living in St. George really makes you forget what cold weather is like. Hopefully I'll get used to it quickly! This is from when we went up to Logan for General Conference back in October. Ali, Perris, Katie, and I all went to Gossner's Cheese Factory in Logan. Perris and Katie were especially thrilled with the cheese curds. Personally I think they are disgusting, and I don't know what all the fuss is about. But everyone seems to love 'em.This is of A and P on the ride up to Logan. Just beautimous. SO great, I love having two of my sisters up here to hang out with and spend time with. It just makes me so happy:)

Alrighty, and these are pictures of Ali and Katie dancing down the sidewalk at Utah State:) So fun!

Yes, we have a Christmas tree:) I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but we like to get a heads start on decorations on our apartment. It's a bit small, but we love having it! And the picture on the right is of Melinda's and my bedroom door. Just lovely, decorating is so fun. Well most of the time:)

Weekend Adventures

Well this week has been a long one so far. I was able to go home to St. George this weekend and spend some time with the fam, and it was so great:) We went to the Dixie high play, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and that was fun to see. Then were at the doctor's office most of the day on Saturday and found out that I had walking pneumonia. But despite my illness we still had a good time together. Hopefully I didn't get any of them sick. And on Sunday we went to Stake Conference and had a dang good dinner afterwards:) So delicious. Then I got to give the new scooter a try, and it is really fun to drive:) But needless to say it was a long drive home, filled with endless coughing fits.

So today was my first day back at classes because Monday and Tuesday I was too sick to go. So now I'm pretty loaded with homework. Oh well, I'll just have to catch up this weekend after I'm done taking my two tests. Sometimes it feels like it never ends, but I guess that's how it always is in college. Always busy:) Hopefully it'll all go well and I can get everything done quickly. I am feeling much better today though, and hopefully I'll be able to go over to Ali's tomorrow for a little bit as she will have the day off:)

Other than being sick, life is good. We have a cleaning check on Saturday, which I am horrified to say that I am actually looking forward to. Seriously though, living with a bunch of girls is great, except when many of us fail at cleaning up after ourselves. The kitchen is usually dirty because someone is always cooking, in the process of making a sandwich, or doing something else. I can live with a semi-dirty kitchen, at least it is being put to good use. BUT when it comes to the bathroom...that is where I draw the line! I woke up yesterday to go shower, and I walked into the bathroom and nearly threw-up after I looked in the bathtub. Okay so first of all, our drains have issues. The maintenance crew has to come every week and unclog Both of our showers. For some reason they cannot be fixed permanently, but only temporarily. And on top of that, every person in my apartment has an abnormal amount of hair shed daily. Yes, quite pleasant eh? No actually, not at all. So I walk in to the bathroom and the whomever had showered before had left lovely globs of hair caked to the side of the tub along with 6 inches of black water that wouldn't drain. Let's just say I didn't shower that day:) Hopefully we can keep it clean for a while after the cleaning check on Saturday.

I also finished my sewing my skirt for my sewing class. And although it didn't end up fitting me, (not sure how that happened, but oh well) it turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself. And I got a good grade on it. My camera is dead at the moment otherwise I'd put up a picture of it, but I guess pictures will have to wait. Anyways, anyone looking for a free skirt? Just gimme a call:)

I heard this quote lately and I really like what it says. Just thought I'd share it:)

Attitudes directly affect the choices we make, how much we accomplish, and ultimately how successful we are. You can change your life by changing your attitude.

The Beginning

Well I finally took the plunge, I am officially a blogger:) Many things have happened in the past few months, including starting BYU and moving out. It's amazing how quickly things happen. I think sometimes I have trouble enjoying the moment and really experiencing things when they happen. All too often I get into the "get it done and over with" mode, which isn't always what is best. So that is one of my new goals: to enjoy life as it happens and make the most if it. After all "men are that they might have joy" as it says it 2 Nephi 2:25.

Anyways, here are some pics of my dorm/apartment and of Halloween:)

Okay these are my roommates. Bottom row(left to right): Caitlin from Kaysville Utah, Me, Kim from Washington State, middle: Melinda from Virginia, Kimberly from Kaysville Utah, and Ann is on top form Hawaii. All great girls and we get along so well:) I love them all!

And here come the Halloween pics...

we were all 80's workout chicks except Ariel (my friend from SG that came up to visit) she was a Flamingo:)

Okay so I guess that's all for now, hopefully I'll be able to keep this updated for everyone:)
